Norman was born April 1st, 1947 in Gladstone, Manitoba to George H and G Evelyn (Littler) Shallcross. He attended school at Palestine and Camp Shilo till 1957 then spent the next 3 years in Hemer, Germany. While overseas he met his maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in Wales. Norman moved from Shilo and resided in Brandon til the day of his passing. In the mid 1970's he met the love of his life Bonnie Harrison (nee Burns) and together they raised her daughter Tammy. They were married on April 28th, 1989 in Brandon.

Norman was an avid coin and stamp collector, loved bingo, and playing Scrabble. Norman and Bonnie spent their summers up at the cabin at Otter Lake with their daughter Tammy,  son-in-law Don, and granddaughter Kyria. We went exploring on a lot of back roads looking for interesting things. In Norman's younger days he enjoyed riding horses along with Bonnie and Tammy.

Norman worked at various jobs. The ones most remembered are doing deliveries for North American Lumber for a few years, and doing night maintenance at North Hill McDonald's for 25 years.

Norman is survived by his step-daughter Tammy (Don) Hulsmans and granddaughter Kyria Hulsmans all of Brandon, his sister Barbara (Wayne) Banman of Carberry, niece Bonnie DeRuyck, and nephews, David and Steven, and their families. As per Norman's wishes cremation has taken place, Norman's wishes were to be spread in the same place as Bonnie; this will take place at a later date with family and friends.
