EDWARD EARL SKABAR
Peacefully and with his family by his side, Edward Earl Skabar (a.k.a. King Edward), slipped his earthly bonds at the age of 93.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was known for his generosity and kindness to all. Dad loved to cook, tell jokes and shop for “stuff he didn’t really need” as he put it.
He was predeceased by his wife Zelma; parents Jacob and Anne Skabar; brother Bill Skabar (Helen); sister Marion Williams (George) and daughter-in-law Joyce Skabar. He is survived by his sisters Loretta Lewis and Margret Rose Trupish; sons Brian Skabar and Robert Skabar (Laura); daughter Donna Ewanchuk (Robert); grandchildren Jennifer, Lindsay, Thomas, Margaret, Lauren, Billy (Natahsa), Tara, and Brent (Tiffany), and great grandchildren Emily and Jaxon.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018 in the Holy Eucharist Parish Centre, 460 Munroe Avenue, where there will be an opportunity to share stories and memories of dad.
Friends and relatives are encouraged to share in a photo-biography, eulogy, stories and condolences on this web page.
