VERNON JOSEPH ZUBRYCKI

"Veron"

Vern Zubrycki passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 at the age of 73.

Remaining are his wife of 47 years, Hilda; children Andy (Wara), Ben (Cathy) and Karla; brother-in-law David and wife Kay Sukkau; nephews and nieces and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Anne Zubrycki; sister Veronica and her husband Donald Matyszewski; parents-in-law Jakob and Maria Sukkau; sister-in law Erika and her husband Gerry Pankiewicz; as well as brother-in-law Jakob and wife Lydia Sukkau of Paraguay.

After a happy and fulfilling life as a child growing up in the North End, and later as a husband, father, teacher in River East School Division and support staff in Seven Oaks School Division, he left us, fully ready, content that his purpose in life had been achieved.

He was a person with varied interests – the many cats in his life, photography, astronomy, music, Winnipeg Beach and North End history, history of WWII, golf, travelling/camping especially in Yoho National Park and above Lake Superior, lake life at Twin Lakes, woodworking and stonework in his later years.

We are grateful to the many medical personnel who provided care in his last few years.

There will be no service. Life was good. Vern would like each of us to remember him as we individually knew him.
